Fairer Taxation Structure

In order to fund Greenlight Pinellas, we need to approve elimination of the current property tax used to fund PSTA and replace it with a 1% increase in the county sales tax. This fair tax approach reduces the burden of property taxes on many Pinellas County residents while offering a fair, consumption based approach that includes all consumers in Pinellas County, including tourists.

In another strong display of widespread community and grassroots support for Greenlight Pinellas, the proposal was voted the Best Use of Tax Money by the readership of Creative Loafing in the publication’s annual “Best of the Bay” awards.
